Hispanicize 2016: ¿Cambio de Prioridades?

Hace unos años, cuando comenzamos a asistir a las reuniones de Hispanicize el foco parecía estar en cómo orientar a un grupo de mamás entusiastas, “bloggers” que comenzaban a explorar los beneficios de conversar de sus vivencias en la red. Era una especie de club privado donde unas pocas mujeres se hacían presentes en la red con el poder de contar sus propias historias, en primera persona, gracias a los blogs.

Para la edición 2016, Hispanicize se ha vuelto un gran foro que espera más de 5,000 participantes, pero eso no ocurrió de la noche a la mañana. La influencia de los Latinos en el mundo digital es inobjetable y este año se torna mucho más importante por las elecciones de noviembre. La agenda de 2016 incluye “influencers” y “trendsetters”, así como también figuras de la prensa y del espectáculo, filantropistas y activistas, acompañadas de organizaciones como el Consejo Nacional de la Raza (NCLR) ¡porque los medios sociales llevan el pulso de todo!, hasta de la política.

Pero por supuesto, el tema central es “cómo se bate el chocolate” en ese multi-universo donde cada día surgen nuevas estrellas: las redes sociales y los lenguajes particulares con los cuales hemos aprendido que la comunicación puede transformarse de la noche a la mañana con la aparición de una nueva aplicación.
