Third Annual 2017 Summer Reading List

New York, NY-Las Comadres & Friends National Latino Book Club (LBCB) is celebrating its 10th Anniversary of connecting readers through Latino literature. To complement the celebration, the Book Club announces the release of its Third Annual Summer Reading List.

“Reading is a way to see the world and explore new lands and cultures in our mind,” says Julia Abrantes, LBCB’s National Project Manager. “It binds us and opens our minds to unending possibilities. Our books this summer remind us of those who have paved the way. These books empower us, teach us and invite us to heal.”

LCBC’s Summer Reading List offers a “baker’s dozen” with something for everyone – from the glitter of Hollywood to the wall at el Rio Grande to Brooklyn to Puerto Rico. The list covers all genres including fiction, horror, memoirs, poetry and business. Plus, the list includes the classic novel, Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquivel, which celebrates 25 years of publication.
